Tochi: Japan Real Estate Data does not ask you to create an account, and it does not collect your name, email address or any other identifier that names you.
The app sends the map area you are looking at, and the language you chose, to our servers in order to fetch the property data for that area. These requests are not tied to an account or an advertising identifier.
Areas you save are stored on your device. If you turn on price alerts, the saved areas and an Apple push notification token are also stored on our servers, because a notification cannot be sent without them. Turning alerts off, or deleting the app, removes them.
Subscriptions are handled entirely by Apple. We never see your payment details. We receive only whether a subscription is currently active, which is what unlocks the paid features.
The free tier shows ads supplied by Google AdMob. A subscription of any tier removes them entirely.
To show them, the Google Mobile Ads SDK receives your device’s IP address, approximate location derived from it, and technical details of the device. If you allow tracking when iOS asks, it may also use the advertising identifier to choose ads for you; if you decline, you still see ads, chosen without it. Google’s use of this data is covered by its own privacy policy at policies.google.com/privacy.
We do not pass anything you do in the app — the areas you look at, the areas you save — to the ad network.
We do not sell or share your data. We use no analytics SDK of any kind. We do not track you across other apps or websites ourselves.
Property data comes from the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism Real Estate Information Library. Base map tiles come from the Geospatial Information Authority of Japan. Place-name readings come from Japan Post, Wikipedia and Wikidata. None of these receive anything about you.
